Although what appears to be a daunting hike via YouTube videos, our guide, Fatima, exuded an infectious, calming influence. This was the balance that we needed to fully enjoy our hike. Our hike was calm and serene with Fatima as our guide. Fatima quickly observed our hiking skills and conditioning; taking periodic breaks when she saw fit and used that time to educate us about the fynbos, mammals, and history of Cape Town and Table Mountain. We enjoyed many views during our ascent. About half way up we enjoyed a brief "breakfast" with coffee and baked goods that Fatima had brought. During our hike, unbeknownst to us, Fatima had taken some pictures of us. Those pictures were later sent to us which turned out to be the best pictures from our entire vacation. Lastly, when we reached the top, we were not tired, hot and exhausted, but rather invigorated with the sense of accomplishing something great that morning! - Michael Whaley

This hike was absolutely amazing and a highlight of our stay in Cape Town. It was definitely tough in parts, but our guide Fatima was so patient, helping me through all the parts I was nervous about. She was also so positive, knowledgeable and made it a really enjoyable experience. The homemade cape-malay treats with coffee halfway up was a lovely and unexpected touch. Defo don't do this route without a guide and wear grippy shoes! - Jeni Allen

I highly recommend a guided hike with Fatima as she is so dedicated in what she does. She has a great knowledge of the plants and hiking routes, is easy to talk to and makes your hike just perfect. Fatima will go at your pace and will give clear instructions which makes your hike safe and easy for you to manage. She will also provide head torches for when it gets dark or still is. Thank you so so much again for the sunset hike to Lions Head and the morning hike to India Venster and the special spots with the stunning views. - Michaela Steinbach
